I know it is early yet, but there are conflicting weather forecasts for Thanksgiving Day. Our usual NBC station says it is expected to rain on both Wednesday and Thursday. The ABC affiliate says there will be no rain, but clouds. They both agree that the high temperature for Thanksgiving Day will be 60 degrees. Yuck! What is happening to this Arizona weather this year? We were hoping for clear skies and warm temperatures so that we could enjoy sitting outside. It now looks like all ten of us will have to stay inside, just as we do in Washington or Chicago at this time of the year. Well, anyway, I'm sure that there will be a good football game on TV.
The long range forecast for our area is for more rain than usual for the months of December and January. The effects of El-Nino are expected to kick-in and kind of flip weather patterns for most of the west. It is suppose to be drier than normal in the northwest and northern part of the country. I wish it would do this some other year when it doesn't matter so much to us.
Speaking of Thanksgiving, we have started to finalize all the food and drinks that will be offered during the day. Josie is planning her schedule to get everything done while working up to the last minute on Wednesday night. Thanks to all our guests, she will have some good help getting things ready...
