I reviewed the Angie's List exterminators and selected one that had high marks, was reasonable in cost and specialized in scorpion extermination. They will be contacting us tomorrow to schedule a time this week. They actually perform two treatments for scorpions, two weeks apart. We are so scorpion conscious now that we are always looking out wherever we go in the house. It will be nice to eventually eliminate the fear of seeing another one.
Western Michigan University had a great day yesterday as Austin's team rolled over Murray State, 52-20. They played on all cylinders and the game wasn't even as close as the score indicated. Next week, they play Ohio State who stumbled against Northern Illinois yesterday and barely beat them 20-13. As the top team in the country, they almost got knocked off by a fellow MAC Conference team. Hopefully, WMU can give them another scare, or perhaps beat them in a major upset. We hope so.
Just when we think the summer heat is leaving us, we get another stretch of 100+ degree days. It was 106 here yesterday, and is going to be hot again today. As we approach October, we are really anxious to see the weather cool down. There are several outside projects we want to tackle but need the cooler weather to get started. One of those is our garage where it has been too hot to do anything. The summers just don't seem to want to let go around here...
