Day One to Laughlin

We left at 9:30 yesterday which was about the time we had planned. The drive was a familiar one to Laughlin, NV and was about 200 miles. The drive up US 93 is a pretty one and the only stop we made was in Wikieup where we took a potty break. We pulled into the Riverside Campground at exactly 1:30 and got everything set up:

It's nothing fancy but the campground is very convenient to everything in town and, of course, is right across the street from the Riverside Casino. Our first night out was a successful one in the casino where Josie won a $500 jackpot to make our evening a profitable one.

We didn't unhitch the truck from the fifth wheel last night, so we are pretty much ready to roll again this morning. The trip is a bit longer today - almost 350 miles - so we will leave earlier to travel to Ely, NV. We don't have a reservation at the campground where we plan to stay, but I will make sure there is room for us by calling them while traveling today. We didn't make reservations at any of the other campgrounds on this trip in case we had a change in our schedule.

So, we'll (hopefully) be coming to you from Ely, NV tomorrow AM...
