Cooling Down

The weather has been, for the most part, beautiful this summer. We had some storms come through yesterday and the day before that have dropped, collectively, .44" of rain with some thunder and lightning. The whole monthly total of rain in July was only .39", so we have already exceeded that. One thing the rain does though, and that is to cool down the temperatures. Our high yesterday was 79 and was about 10 degrees below what we have been averaging this summer. It still is great weather overall and today has started with no clouds and comfortable temperatures.

It was back to work yesterday and the only thing we did in the morning before going to work was laundry and a few chores around the fifth wheel. As we approach the middle of August, we are suppose to begin to see a dropoff in the number of people coming in to the Resort. The place is now loaded with motorcycles of people on their way to the annual Sturgis event in South Dakota that runs from August 7 - 15. There are motorcycles just about everywhere you go in town, so we can imagine what the town of Sturgis must look like now.

Today promises to be another ho-hum day with nothing scheduled for this morning and work beginning this afternoon at 2:30 for me and 3 PM for Josie. That's about it for now...
