A Walk Through Downtown

We're trying to establish some kind of routine to compensate for our different working schedule. Yesterday, we got up around 9 AM and after breakfast decided to take a walk from our space to downtown - about 1 block . The downtown area itself is probably 5 blocks long and is lined with all kinds of specialty shops, galleries and other shops selling "Old West" items of every description. Below is a shot of the downtown area as it appears just outside our Village complex:

One of the interesting tourist locations is the Irma Hotel that was built by Buffalo Bill in 1902 and was a place where Buffalo Bill used to stay and he also had an office:

There is a wild west gunfight held Monday thru Saturday at 6 PM outside of the hotel that draws huge crowds. We'll have to go to one of those before we leave the area.

The walk was very invigorating and we got home about 2 PM and it gave us time to get ready for work at 3:30. We both worked a full shift and got home at midnight. Our initial reaction to working these new hours is positive. First of all, we don't get to sit around and watch TV and eat snacks before going to bed. We both have already lost some weight just because we are busy at work and we don't spend enough time at home to pick and snack on junk food. The "lunch" hour we get at around 7 PM is plenty of time to eat a good meal, and we go to bed within an hour of getting off work. We will eat breakfast when we get up, which has been around 9:00 AM, and then go somewhere interesting before going back to work at 3:30 PM. So far, so good...
