The first day on Josie's new job was for training. It was more of an informational kind of training than actual "hands on" training. There are three different stores in the Basha's company: AJ's is the higher end store, Basha's is the main store brand and then there is Food City which is a niche kind of store at the lower end of the brands. All of the stores were represented at the session yesterday and there were about 12 people in the class. Only two were from AJ's (Josie and one other) and they were all dressed in their store colors. Although the information was good, it was a long day that could have been shortened.
The biggest problem for Josie yesterday was the drive to the class. The class was held in town and the traffic patterns are adjusted based on the time of day. In other words, lanes that are open during non busy times are closed during rush hour times. Thankfully, she will not have to go to that location again. Tomorrow begins her regular job, and the trip will be on a different route. The excitement is building for her and we only have the commute to deal with at this point.
There appears to be some temporary relief on the way from our hot weather. I see where we will be between 101-105 over the next week. Of course, that is still hot but not sizzling...
