I heard on the news yesterday that we average 18 days per year of temperatures at 110 or higher. We hit that number yesterday and we are just beginning August. The record for 110+ days is something like 32, so we have a real shot at breaking that record since all but two of the days this week are forecast to be at 110 or above. It would have been nice if this year set a record for fewest days at 110 or higher.
We continue to have decent electric bills through all the heat. Our new bill that we received yesterday was for $190.00 for the last 30 days which included some very high temperatures. We hope it continues that way.
Josie has her one day of training on Monday at a Food City in town. We took a drive yesterday to see the place and were disappointed. The store is in a not-so-clean part of town and is almost entirely stocked with Spanish foods. It's a good thing she only has to spend one day there. Her regular schedule begins on Wednesday at the AJ's in Arcadia which she is looking forward to...
