Having had the bad experience with dehydration over the last couple of weeks, I hesitate to do any extensive lifting, unpacking and moving of boxes. The temperature at our house hit 113 yesterday and that is not a safe number in which to be doing lots of physical work - particularly in the garage. I worked in my den on the computer much of the day tracking auctions and items I have for sale on Craigslist and eBay. I am disappointed with the results so far, but will stay with the program.
Our golf course was closed Monday and yesterday for fairway aerification and will close one more time in July (12th and 13th) for two days to perform greens aerification. I am so impressed with the care that is given this golf course and assume the others are treated with similar attention. It shows in the condition of the course.
The temperature is forecast to reach 111 today with a sign of some moisture coming by the weekend. We desperately need that and it coincides with the start of the monsoon season. It has been quite awhile since we have experienced a monsoon season here, so we are keeping our fingers crossed that it is a wet, but not destructive one...
