We started the difficult task of unpacking, sorting and storing all the garage stuff. There is no way we can get even one of our cars parked in the garage without creating a space. The real problem with this job is that most of the "stuff" has to be brought into the house to be put away somewhere. Now, it looks like we are once again just moving into the house. Sheesh!
There will be some tough decisions made on goods from this effort. We just don't have room anymore for most of what we have in the garage - and lots of things in the house. It is time, once and for all, to downsize and retain only the things that we absolutely will need and things we cannot part with as a result of personal attachment. It will take a long time to complete this monumental task.
I was able to watch much of the US Open Golf Championship on TV yesterday that is being played at the Shinnecock Hills Golf Course in New York. It was a debacle. Not one golfer is under par after three rounds. The early morning groups scored well, but the afternoon groups suffered through the drying effects of the high winds and negative effects on shot making. The morning leaders all fell back to make it a closer, and an almost unfair contest. The final round today will be interesting.
Happy Father's Day today and a Happy Birthday to my brother George...
