It wasn't suppose to rain all day, but it did. It actually rained during the makeup game between the Cubs and Washington Nationals. It didn't bother the Nationals as much though, as they won the game 5-0 to force a fifth game in D.C. tonight - winner moves on to the Pennant series. There wasn't much else to do with all the wet weather, so we enjoyed a day of mostly visiting with a little shopping in between. It was still an enjoyable day.
Today we celebrate our 46th anniversary and the plan is to do a couple of special things to celebrate. First of all, we plan to pay a visit to one of the local Casinos. We don't expect to spend a lot of time (or money) there, but who knows. Then, we will have dinner at Jersey Mike's where can get some good old fashioned Philly sandwiches. There may be some other exciting stops in between, but it looks like a fun day that is planned today. Of course, we will wind up the day watching the final game of the Division Series between the Cubs and Nationals.
As we were socked in most of the day with the rain, there were no pictures for today's entry. That should change for tomorrow.
Go Cubs!!
