Pumpkins and Mums

Each year, Patty decorates her front porch with mums and pumpkins during the Halloween season. We made a visit to Johansen's Farm to select the right pumpkins and mums. They had a huge supply of each as can be seen below:

We selected two nice red mum plants and two plump pumpkins. We got them home in time before the rain started.

The heavy rain in the afternoon resulted in the Cubs playoff game being postponed until today. For sure, we will watch the game, now scheduled for later today.

Last night, we had a special dinner of shrimp foil packets which were delicious. They contain shrimp, potatoes, corn and sausage. The boys love them and we can see why. They can be seen in these shots taken at dinner time:

Hmm. Delicious! Of course, you also notice how fast the twins are growing.

During the day we made a couple of other stops while getting the pumpkins and the mums, and we picked up some items that we needed, including a new pair of tennis shoes that I got at Dick's Sporting Goods.

It was a fun day #2 in Naperville...
