It amounted to almost another full day yesterday while the dealer swapped out the truck hitch. It never should have happened in the first place, but mistakes are made. The new - or, correct - hitch looks like this:
It will do the job, for sure, and it looks like it will be easier to use than the one I had on the other truck. Time will tell.
I have to get a couple replacement batteries for the fifth wheel today and sometime, either today or tomorrow, take them to the unit in storage and get them installed. The old ones have been installed for 7 years, so it's time to get new ones. Following that, we get to try out all the new equipment by towing the fifth wheel to Mesa and the Robert Crist dealership for the repairs on Wednesday. I don't know how long everything will take yet, but we have a time schedule of late February to move the fifth wheel into the space at Lake Pleasant. That is when we get the house ready to show to prospective renters and it has to be in model home condition.
Somewhere along the line in February, we need to get our training for the Spring Training games. This year we work the cash registers at the team store, so there are some new things to learn. It promises to be an interesting Spring this year and we just hope all goes well without any serious glitches...
