The excitement is building in this area as there are all kinds of activities around the stadium in preparation for tonight's playoff game between the Cardinals and the Packers. It is always a busy time when there is an event in the Westgate area, but the football excitement takes the prize. All of the barriers for parking and the crews that man those passage ways are already in place and the game isn't until tonight. The Cardinals better win.
I want to congratulate George and Cheryl on their 50th wedding anniversary yesterday. It seems like just a short time ago when they got married and George immediately left for Viet Nam. It wasn't the best way to start a marriage, but they survived.
I did some more prep work for our plan to rent out the house. The property manager and I had a discussion yesterday about the schedule of events and I received the documents we need to execute that outlines responsibilities during the rental period. This is a new experience for us and one that we hope we won't be sorry for. The only way to know is to go forward with the plan and try to ensure that all goes well by performing due-diligence in all the steps along the way.
I had the first test of the hitch portability last night as I took out the hitch to free up all the space in the truck bed for moving-related activities. I'm sure that we will be using the truck for many trips to storage and to Lake Pleasant. The hitch - although fairly heavy - is easily removed which will make for easy hauling. I'm not looking forward to that part of the plan...
