It was a typical New Year's Eve for us. We tried to stay up to watch the ball drop in Times Square but just couldn't make it. Josie almost made it, but I was in bed before 9 PM. Both of us woke up in time to turn on the TV again and watch the ball drop anyway. It was nice to see Carrie Underwood as the main entertainer at Times Square.
I got bored watching the second football game of the night which was dominated by Alabama over Michigan State - 38-0. I think Michigan State called it a year after their last game of the season. Now, we have the National Championship scheduled at the Stadium here in Glendale on January 11. That is between Clemson and Alabama, I hope Clemson wins that one.
We expect to have a quiet, peaceful New Year's Day today. No plans are made even though we are talking about a couple options. One is to go to Lake Pleasant and fold our RV cover that was on the fifth wheel. I just jammed it into the RV storage compartment when I removed it a couple weeks ago and it takes two people to fold it and store it back into the container. Another option is to take a short hike somewhere - like the White Tank Mountains. That one will probably lose, as there is the Rose Parade to watch and the Fiesta Bowl which is being played here at the Glendale Stadium today. That is between Notre Dame and Ohio State. Go Ohio State!!....
