I just about finished up on our taxes yesterday. All that is left is to review everything for errors and to make sure I got all of the deductions we are entitled to. This year, as expected, we owe a small amount, but we also get a small refund from our Arizona State taxes which almost makes us break even for the year. Last year we had a refund of a few hundred dollars, but we made more money this past year. At any rate, it is a huge relief to have them almost done.
We get to enjoy a whole weekend off together this weekend. It is the first one that we can remember for a long time, so it should be a nice couple of days. Unfortunately, the weather is not going to be the best but when we consider what's happening in the Midwest and back east, we are grateful. We are sorry that Patty and her family are suffering through the frigid weather in Chicago with no end in sight. So far, we have nothing definitive planned, so we will just see what happens...
