Back to Work and Weather

I looked at the weekly planner for 2011 to figure out exactly how many weeks and how many days we left to work at Amazon. It is now 13 weeks to go, and 52 scheduled days. That also translates into about 14 weeks to go before Christmas - better go get your shopping done. It actually sounds like a long time, and it is. In one more week we will reach the halfway point in our total time here - that sounds a little better.

The one thing that happened last year was that we were not prepared for the winter season. I had to wrap the hose and sewer lines in sub freezing temperatures last year, and it was not very much fun. This year, I will begin the preparations now, so they will be done when the first frost arrives - expected in November. One of the chores for this weekend will be to wrap the hose and fix the connectors so that they will be protected from any freezing temperatures. It is now getting cool enough outside to do those jobs. We also had the low tire pressure light come on in the Jeep, so we also need to get out the air compressor and make sure they are brought up to normal. It looks like our 3 days off will be filled with plenty to do. Right now there are no plans to go anyplace, unless it's to the store to get something. Have a great day...
