Without trying to sound like a broken record, it was yet another very busy day at the front desk yesterday. It was full of reservations checking in, cabins to sell by the cabin show-ers and we had 1 Tour come in. The difference yesterday was that it seemed like the people all came to check-in in clusters, which made for a very hectic time at the desk. It has been said to us that the volume begins to drop off after the second week in August. I hope they're right.
This morning will be a repair morning on things that need immediate attention in the fifth wheel. Last night, during our dinner break at around 8 PM we heard a strange, soft noise in the kitchen area. It turned out that our sink dropped out of the counter housing and, because we had so much stuff under the sink, it only could drop about an inch. The plumbing underneath is all ok since it is plastic and could flex with the change in the sink level. We are surprised that firstly, the glue failed that kept it attached to the counter and, secondly, that glue is the only thing holding it to the counrter and there are no brackets underneath to prevent this kind of thing. I guess there are always some items like this that are put together with poor design.
The second thing that needs attention is our water pressure. We have a gauge on our water hookup that shows the pressure and there is an adjustable screw on the gauge adapter to adjust the pressure up or down. I just need to make sure the adjustment doesn't go beyond the limits of the hose so that it creates a "bubble" in the hose when it gets hot outside. That has happened in the past as a result of water pressure that was too high.
Today is also the day we receive our mail from last week so we are hoping that most of our replacement cards will be there from the "rafting accident" I had over a week ago. Other than that, it should be a normal day...
