The biggest news from yesterday was the report that 2 escaped convicts from Arizona are believed to be in Yellowstone National Park. It's beyond us how - or why - they headed to New Mexico from the Yuma area, committed another crime, and then ended up in this area. Anyway, everybody is on the alert for reports and updates on their activity. They have already murdered a couple people since their escape so the feeling is they won't stop the spree until apprehended.
It was the busiest day at work since we started in early June. We had 43 reservations and 22 cabins to sell. That was a total of 65 cabins to fill out of our total of 83. Motorcycles are still dominating the area and probably will until after the Sturgis Rally that ends on the 15th. It sure was nice to finish up last night at 10:30. Josie had her normal, boring day in the Gift Shop and was home at 11 PM.
It's midway through the work week and we are starting to plan for the next break we have beginning Thursday. Our hope is to somehow plan a visit to the Tetons and Jackson, WY, but we are still trying to figure out how we can do all that we want on a 2 day trip that includes a return through Riverton, WY, where we have access to a discounted room (at another Blair Hotel) and a Casino which is the only real Casino in Wyoming. I'm sure we'll figure it out. Until tomorrow...
