Mass Exodus

It was a record checkout crowd for us yesterday. There were 39 rigs scheduled to checkout by 11 AM. It looked like an RV parade between 10:30 and 11. Once again the dining area was jumping with all the people getting their last continental breakfast of their stay. It is funny watching some of the people that come in for breakfast that don't stay to eat it in the dining room. Some carry out plates heaped with fruit and muffins, and one individual had the nerve to ask me if we had a bag that he could use to carry his stuff back to his rig. He had enough stuff to feed the whole row of rigs where he was staying. Maybe he did feed everybody. Anyway, everything went smoothly and I got finished serving the 52 newspapers in time to open everything by 8 AM, even after placing each newspaper in a plastic bag because of the rain.

It was mentioned before that we would get a shot of the nice folks we had dinner with a week ago- Bob and Helen. They are packing up and leaving this morning and heading to Gold Beach, on the Southern Coast of Oregon, and will be there until October, and then they head back to Glendale, AZ:

Their dog is the one that drags the owners into the office everyday for his biscuit. We enjoyed seeing them for the last month and we wish them save travels.

Today will see everything get back to normal and even though we have a growing number of rigs in the park, it is a comfortable pace. We do our half day shift today and start at 8 AM so I guess I'll have some breakfast and get ready for work. Until tomorrow...
