Family Barbecue

It's too bad we didn't follow up on Josie's desire to skip the Mother's Day work schedule this year. There are so many people working at the shop that she wouldn't have been missed and we had to give up a short vacation in Washington in order to satisfy her commitment. If you can believe it, she  - and everyone else that is working during the week before Mother's Day - was given two days off during the week. That is unheard of in the floral business for this busy holiday week.

We went to Brian and Amy's following her workday yesterday and had a wonderful visit with them and George and Cheryl - plus a terrific barbecue. This time, we got a couple of photos while there and below are the results. The first is of the entire group - minus Jason who was busy in the house and Josie who snapped the picture:

This next one is of Traeger who is showing off her "booties" that she can wear during the real hot days of summer:

She isn't used to wearing them and it was funny watching her trying to walk with them on her paws.

That is the final visit with them until we return in the Fall, probably in late October or November.

We said our good-byes and left at around 7:30 PM. Our new location at Pioneer RV is very close to their house and it only took us about 10 minutes to get home.

All that is left now is for Josie to work out her final schedule this week and to do final prep for our departure on Monday. We are about ready to go...
