Over the Pass

With the rain still in the area, we couldn't take a chance on getting caught while on a hike or a bike ride. In fact, it has been so cool that we probably wouldn't have done either of those anyway. So, we took a short drive to Victor, over the pass, into Idaho. Josie has been trying to locate a good source for yarn and that is one place we haven't checked. It is also the only place to buy lottery tickets within a short distance of Jackson. There were no yarn places in Victor, but it was a nice drive anyway.

Even with the rain in the area, the skies were clear enough to get a decent shot of Jackson from the summit:

The trees are beginning to show their fall colors and in about another week or so, we should have some nice pictures of the changing colors.

We also stopped at the grocery store to pick up some items on the way home and put some gas in the truck. It won't be long until we have to fill up the tanks and hit the road south to AZ. There are two more weeks to go and we are starting to think about organizing the interior of the fifth wheel for road travel. In over four months of being in the same location, there is a tendency to spread out and have a lot of loose items to pack away.

There is finally some sunshine in the long term forecast - for next Thursday and Friday - so we are hoping that the forecast is accurate. It will probably be our last weekend for trips locally, so we are looking forward to our next days off...
