We got the grass mowed yesterday for - maybe - the last time. Just as we were finishing up the mowing, the rain came. We had the most severe thunderstorms yesterday afternoon that we have had all season. There were times when we had hail and rain so heavy it caused temporary flooding in the parking areas. Once again today there is a threat of more thunderstorms. No matter how much rain we get though, it is nothing in comparison to the amount that was received in the Denver area. That's OK as long as it is all gone by tomorrow when we plan to go to Yellowstone for our final visit this season.
Just when we think we are over the busy season we sell out again. The weather probably contributed to our selling out all the rooms last night before 8 PM. There were two buses that came in plus a third bus that was a stay-over from the night before. The most significant outcome from last night was confirmation - from our manager, Judy - that we are invited back for another year in 2014. She indicated we were her first choice for next year, so we plan to return unless something comes up between now and then that we just can't ignore. Right now, this is our choice.
There are a few items that we need to get for our trip to Yellowstone tomorrow, so I guess a visit to the grocery store is in order for this morning. We like to take along food for a picnic lunch on these trips and, of course, some healthy snacking food. As this will be our final trip to Yellowstone for the year, we will be gone the entire day. Hopefully, we'll have some nice photos of wildlife to show on Friday...
