It was a familiar journey yesterday from Port Lavaca to Boerne, TX. We are staying, once again, at the Top of the Hill RV Resort in Boerne TX and we have the same site we had about 12 days ago.
This time, we drove around the nice town of Boerne and discovered why it is considered one of the nicest areas in Texas. It is close to San Antonio and is located in the Hill Country of Texas. With the late start we had in the morning - 10 AM - we still arrived at a decent time (1:45 PM) at our stopover. Following our drive through town, we had an early dinner at the restaurant where we ate with our friends (Rodger and Sue) the last time - PoPo's:
We had the same meal as before - the grilled chicken - and it was excellent again.
Today, we will have another familiar stop in Fort Stockton, TX. The park in Fort Stockton is not a showplace, but serves the purpose for a one night stop. The plan is to leave here around 8 AM which will get us to our destination early this afternoon. It is a 280 mile drive with the entire trip on I-10.
We'll see you from Fort Stockton tomorrow...
