Snakes and Weather

Our Volunteer Naturalists occasionally do presentations and demonstrations for the Visitor Center guests. Yesterday, a volunteer couple was demonstrating snakes - the non venomous type. This was an opportunity for Josie to get a little bit more familiar with snakes other than Rattlers. I'm afraid that she is still a bit shy about handling these creatures:


It may be awhile before she touches another one.

Our weather is beginning to turn cool. Highs for every day this week will remain in the low 70's with a couple of days not rising above 69. Lows are getting near freezing, so the trees and bushes will take a major turn this week toward Fall colors. Below is a shot of some heavy clouds rolling in over the Tetons:


Our final work day for this week is today. We open the Visitor Center at 7:45 AM this morning before getting off work at 4:15 for our three day weekend. We hope to drive through some areas that are beginning to show Fall colors, so we expect to have some nice photos over the next three days...
