We have always seen the Saguaro Cactus bloom every Spring here in Arizona. Sometimes, it blooms earlier than other years but usually around Mother's Day. We are blessed with many of these beautiful Saguaros in our RV park. We are further blessed to have two very near us - one on our site and one on the site next to ours. I took a couple shots of these two so that you can see how beautiful they are and also see how close to full bloom they are at this time. This is a shot of the one on our site:
and the larger one on the site next to ours:
They both will be in full bloom around the time we leave on the day after Mother's Day.
Today is the final "off" day for Josie before we head out next Monday. We will load all of the items that will go to storage into the truck and either take them there today, or I will drop them off one day after taking Josie to work. There aren't that many items to go, but every little bit helps to lighten the load we will carry to Wyoming.
We have decided to try to squeeze in a couple days in Washington before starting work in Cody. We will try to work out the details and get approval from our boss in Cody today so that we can make final arrangements. We will not be able to see the grandkids on this trip, but we will see Kristine who has moved to Eastern Washington with her boyfriend to a small town - Marcus - just north of Spokane. I hunted in that area years ago and know that it is a beautiful area. More on that in another post soon. In the meantime, we will take advantage of the time remaining to get everything done to be ready to go...
