Our schedule has changed again. As a result of recent activity related to Kristine's early diagnosis of Cervical Cancer, Josie wanted to spend some time with her for support before going to Cody. With that in mind, Josie informed her manager that Thursday would be her last day and we will leave on Friday morning for Washington.
It appears, at this point, that Kristine's cancer is in the very early stages and, hopefully, can be treated with little concern. Nonetheless, she is very scared and Josie wants to be with her before we get started in Cody.
We will now leave Friday morning and drive for three days before arriving in Washington. The plan is to spend two days there and then drive to Cody which would, after two more days, have us arriving on May 12. I will spend a good part of today finalizing our route and making reservations where necessary. We have already decided that next year - regardless of any working commitments - we will leave this area in late April so that we will have sufficient time to do things prior to any summer employment commitment. This rushing around to accommodate other needs is not going to work for the long term. So now, we have only today and tomorrow to get our act together and to get going for the summer...
