It was a different kind of night last night for our final weeknight at work. There were again only a few check-ins scheduled from reservations (7) and the night started out slow with only 5 walk-ins in the first 4 hours. Our work partner, Jim, was so bored that he left work early at 7 o'clock. Shortly after he left, the floodgates opened. With just Josie and I working at this point, we checked in another 15 walk-ins, plus the remainder of our reservations. The final night of our schedule went well though as we didn't have anything happen that we couldn't handle ourselves. After 4 months and 1 week, we are down to just 2 days of work before heading out to Utah.
Josie made an appointment to have her hair done this morning and I have some final preparations to make for our trip south. With the beautiful Fall colors all around us, we want to get one more trip in to the Tetons to get some photos. The smoke seems to have cleared out - finally - after about 6 weeks of hazy/smokey days. We will go through the Park once more either today or tomorrow. The rest of our time off will be spent reorganizing our fifth wheel for travel. When we get this close to ending a workamping assignment, we look forward to the next step.
The arrangements for our stay in AZ are all but finalized. We will arrive at Happy Trails in AZ on October 21, and right now, we have the space reserved through March of next year. There are lots of things that we need to get done while there and - we need to nail down some work, at least part time. It will be nice to have a temporary break from work for a while...
