Our first full day at the Fairgrounds was one of discovery more than anything else. To start with, it isn't the quietest location where we are parked for the remainder of this week. It is right next to the street that runs along the Route 55. It does get quiet at night though. At any rate, these shots are of our setup here at the Fairgrounds:
We have placed all of the totes and storage containers under the RV. Everything appears to be OK except for one thing which was discovered this morning - we have replaced the mice problem with an ants problem. There are ants everywhere in the RV and that will be the main task starting out today - get rid of them.
Yesterday was a day of exploration. We went to the nearest Walmart - to see where it was and how convenient it might be. It is about 15 minutes away. That will be the main store for our getting whatever supplies we might need for the pumpkin patch. In the afternoon, we drove to Newport Beach - just to see how close it was. It is only 12 minutes away and will probably be a prime location for any relaxation we may get during the month. Here are the first shots of the beach:
It sure was nice to see it again.
We'll be trying to familiarize ourselves with the area again today and will start out by getting some Home Defense for the ants problem and locating the nearest grocery store, B of A branch and a laundromat….
