The only real event to report today - from this house, anyway - is my annual wellness exam which is scheduled for 3 PM this afternoon. Josie had hers last month and passed with flying colors. I hope to do the same. I have no "real" complaints, so it should go without a hitch. One thing that I am having a hard time with is the change in my metabolism that is making it very difficult to lose any weight. Even with regular exercise and diet, the weight just seems to hang on. Maybe the doctor will have some good advice and suggestions.
The latest word on Hurricane Florence is that it weakened a little bit during the night, but is still a category 2 storm with lots of rain and storm surge. It is expected to linger along the coast for a couple days beginning tomorrow which is going to result in the most damage. It seems like there is a price to pay anywhere you live that resembles paradise. The homes along the coastline will definitely take a hit during the next several days.
I see some signs that our season may be changing. The low this morning was 77 which is the coolest it has been in months. If we can just get the highs below 100 it would help create some hope for cooling down for the Fall season...
