A Happy Birthday

It's always nice to have another birthday celebration - especially as the years mount. It was rather quiet but very enjoyable. I watched some football on TV and prepared our first dinner in the new Instant Pot that we received on Friday. Actually, we had another Instant Pot that we returned to Amazon because it was too big and heavy for us. The new one is a terrific replacement. I made some chicken soup while Josie continued her recovery from her bout with the flu:

She felt much better yesterday and will attempt a return to work today. I hope I don't get what she had as it was a very tough few days for her.

The football games were great yesterday. Both games went down to the final minutes before  a winner was determined and the second game, between the Saints and Vikings ended on the final play of the game on a miracle touchdown by the Vikings. The Divisional Championship games are next weekend and they promise to be great matchups.

We are hoping for some action on the house this week as we continue to be nervous over the apparent lack of effort on the part of our property manager. I know we are too close to the process, but we really had hoped for better responsiveness from the company. Nothing fixes a problem faster or better than positive action...
