Better Pace

We can really tell that the holiday weekend is over. Although we had a fairly steady flow of people, we didn't have near the hectic pace of Monday. Several people stayed the extra day to avoid the traffic rush and the dump station was active, but the line to dump never exceeded two rigs. We did have a problem at the resort in the afternoon when a water valve broke somewhere in the line and they had to shut down the water for a couple hours. That impacted the dump business as people could only dump during that time using their own on-board water. We also had to turn away some people from filling their water tanks.

We went two miles down the road to the Long Valley Cafe at Clints Well to have dinner. We each had the meat loaf - Josie the sandwich, and Bob the meal. They give large portions and the food is very good. This is the same place that was mentioned in an earlier post that has the Friday all you can eat fish fry.

It was a beautiful, clear day and the temps were 69 (high) and 37 (low) with no rain.

Today dawned with not a cloud in the sky and and slightly warmer than yesterday. Our water pressure is very bad this AM, probably a result of the repair yesterday. We hope that it gets fixed while we are gone. Our plan for the two days off includes another trip to Surprise to try to finish emptying the shed and going to a couple doctors appointments.

This time we will have the camera - just in case.....
