New Jobs

We decided to end the game of submitting resumes, doing online applications and generally wasting time searching for a new job. We recalled having requests from Amazon to work for them again - locally, in  the Phoenix area at one of their distribution centers. Yesterday, we closed the loop by going to their hiring company - Integrity Staffing Solutions - and did all the paperwork, did all the drug tests and got our photos taken for badges, received a job offer and got our schedule. We will begin work at the location on Buckeye Rd near 68th Ave on Nov 12. Our schedule will be Wed-Sat, 7:30 AM -6 PM (four 10 hour days).  There will be some mandatory O.T. during the Christmas season which is always great extra money. We are familiar with the process and the work involved so it should not be a surprise to us.

Josie will discuss this change with the owner of the flower shop when she calls about any schedule she may have come up with for her. The cool reception at the flower shop prompted this change and Josie will try to keep the door open for holidays after the first of the year. She has talked about a change from the floral industry for some time now, so maybe this will be the first step.

So, today, we will drive to the location where we will be working to see exactly where it is located and get a feel for time involved in our commute. We work the same schedule and can commute together the same as we did in Campbellsville, KY when we last worked for Amazon.

Depending on how this goes, we will make decisions on the next move....
