One week to go until Christmas. This is the time when it is easy to "snoop" and try to peek at the gifts under the tree. Oh well, it doesn't look like I'm getting my new Corvette this year either.
Josie worked her first full day of the holiday season yesterday and then stayed up half the night making chili for the girls at work. They each make something to have for one meal during the long holiday schedule. It is starting to pick up at her shop now as the orders are beginning to back up. I don't believe that the business is as good as it was years ago. More and more people are buying arrangements from the grocery stores and the warehouse stores like Costco. I keep telling Josie that I believe we sold our store in Washington at the right time.
We had the washer repair guy at the house last night and he discovered where it was leaking. Of course, he has to order a part so we have to go easy on the washer for another week or so until the part arrives. It sure is a good thing that we got the Home Warranty when we bought the house. It isn't often that those things pay for themselves, but this time it did...
